Description
Beautiful cauldron mug depicting Litha, the dragon representing the Summer Solstice. The mug changes colour to reveal Sabbat symbols surrounding the dragon’s snake like head like a halo when you fill it with your hot drink. This gorgeous design by Anne Stokes is part of a set portraying the seasons celebrated in pagan festivals.
The Wheel of the Year is marked in the Pagan calendar by eight seasonal festivals: the Spring and Autumn Equinox; the Summer and Winter Solstice with the mid-points between these solar events making the other four,
The illustration depicts an oriental style dragon symbolising the Summer Solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year. Above the dragon lies the symbol of Litha, marking the light reaching its peak before beginning to fade as the year turns toward autumn. The dragon clutches a ball of fire to illustrate this movement of light.
